I think that in this country gamblinbg is thrown in our faces at evry opportunity. It is encouraged even on the television when they advertise gala bingo and the lottery with the promise that you are going to win millions. This can lead people into a flase sense of security, oh it's only a couple of quid, it doesn't matter, when in a few cases it turns into hours of bingo or tries on the fruit machine, soon turning into hundreds of pounds. the lottery especially is made to look fantastic and obviously the prize money is good but the actual chance of anyone winning is 1 in every 13,983,816.
